The M1114 is a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) that is used by the United States Army and Marines. Its primary purpose is reconnaissance and patrol missions but it has also been used in peacekeeping missions and activities in a number of countries (Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia and Haiti). The M1114 provides perimeter ballistic protection, protection from improvised explosive devices (IEDs), mine and overhead blast protection as well as offering gunner shield and gunner protection kits.
